KUKA Apple Picking Robot
KUKA and Digital Workbench GmbH from Upper Bavaria collaborated at the Agritechnica agricultural exhibition in Hannover, Germany, aiming to jointly develop mobile robots capable of supporting fruit farmers in apple picking.
🚜✨ Agritechnica Agricultural Fair Highlights! 🌾
Visitors can witness the live operation of the mobile apple-picking robot! 🍎 Using two KUKA KR AGILUS robotic arms, installed on the innovative Tipard 1800 multi-carrier platform, bringing digitalization and automation to new heights.
Since 2020, KUKA has tested this small robot designed specifically for apple picking, featuring vacuum suction cups combined with AI and vision technology. This setup successfully avoids pressure points and identifies the apples' maturity, condition, size, and location, ensuring precision and flexibility! 🎯📸
The KR AGILUS six-arm robot comes in various models and installation positions, with a load capacity of 6-11 kg and a working range of 706-1101mm, making it suitable for clean rooms and potentially explosive environments. 🚀
