Asia’s Premier Agri-Aqua-Livestock & Cold Chain Expo: 2024 Taiwan Smart Agriweek and International Fisheries Expo to Unveil Groundbreaking Innovations from September 11th to 13th!

The highly anticipated 9th Taiwan Smart Agriweek and 10th Taiwan International Aquaculture & Fisheries Expo are set to take center stage from September 11th to 13th, 2024, at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1. This grand event, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and 62 prominent industry associations and research institutions, will feature keynote addresses from top leaders, including Taiwan’s Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Chen Chi-Chung, Singapore Trade Representative Mr. Yip Wei Kiat, and World Taiwanese Chambers of Commerce President, Mr. Steven Lee. They will inaugurate the largest showcase of SMART technologies in agriculture, aquaculture, livestock, and cold chain logistics in Asia.

Under the theme “S.M.A.R.T” – Sustainability, Market, Advance, Resilience, and Technology – this year’s event will focus on the urgent global need for climate-resilient and sustainable agricultural practices. Over 400 exhibitors from 20 countries will present more than 2,000 breakthrough products and solutions, drawing over 40 international buyer delegations and 20 overseas industry groups. With its extensive range of offerings, this expo stands as Asia’s premier platform for smart agriculture innovation and collaboration, bringing together global leaders, policymakers, and visionaries to shape the future of agricultural technology.

The expo will span five key areas: AgriTech, Livestock & Feed, Aquaculture & Fisheries Tech, Agricultural Sustainability (AgriGreen), and Cold Chain Technology (AgriFresh), each with specialized pavilions showcasing the latest innovations. The Livestock & Feed area will debut a dedicated "Pet Food Technology Zone," reflecting the booming demand for precision nutrition in the pet food industry. Alongside, cutting-edge forums will explore advanced topics such as alternative proteins and state-of-the-art feed processing techniques, driving innovation and growth in the industry.

Highlights of the Five Exhibition Areas:

• Agricultural Technology

Featuring cutting-edge technologies in precision farming, AI-powered smart farm management, and eco-friendly agricultural machinery, this area aims to revolutionize modern food production and drive green energy transformation. It will include thematic pavilions such as the Ministry of Agriculture’s Smart Agriculture Pavilion, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) Smart Agri-Machinery Pavilion, and more, showcasing the latest innovations in agricultural technology and promoting industry collaboration.

• Livestock & Feed Technology

This zone will showcase key pavilions, such as Huichisen’s Egg Industry Pavilion, Academia Sinica’s Animal Health Pavilion, and the Chung Hua Antibiotic-Free Farming Association’s Pavilion. Individual exhibitors will include members of the Asian Food and Feed Insect Association, along with companies like Amandus Kahl, CPM Asia, and Landmeco. Highlights will feature antibiotic-free feed, advanced feed processing techniques, poultry and livestock farming equipment, and insect-based protein feed formulations—all aimed at maximizing nutritional value and promoting sustainable development in the feed industry.

• Aquaculture and Fisheries Technology

This area will bring together leading institutions such as National Taiwan Ocean University, the Fisheries Research Institute, and the Fish Breeding Association of Taiwan, alongside companies like Violon Biotech, GenderAqua Biotech, Opportunity Biotech, Qquadlink Technology, SeeWhat Tech and so on. The focus will be on AI-driven precision breeding and capacity-enhancement technologies for aquaculture, aimed at advancing the modernization and sustainable development of the fisheries industry. Additionally, the area will promote sustainable marine practices by showcasing responsible fisheries and high-quality seafood.

• Agricultural Sustainability Technology

Led by the Changhua County Government, the Carbon Neutral Pavilion, Tunghai University’s Zero Carbon Technology and Services Alliance (ZCTSA), and Remondis, this sub-expo will showcase cutting-edge solutions in smart agriculture, carbon neutrality, and zero-waste systems. It will highlight innovative approaches to achieving sustainability and promoting the re-utilization of agricultural resources within a circular economy.

• Agricultural Cold Chain Technology

This zone is led by the Agricultural Technology Research Institute (ATRI)’s Agricultural Products Cold Chain Technology Pavilion, the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and the Taiwan Cold Chain Association, along with key industry players such as Sun Fresh Vegetable, BanKPro E-Service Technology, KUKA Automation Taiwan, Trans-IoT Technology, and Flutai. The focus will be on advanced cold chain technologies, featuring AI-powered solutions for storage and distribution, low-carbon and energy-efficient preservation methods, and supply chain management for fresh agricultural products.
