2024 Exhibition Success Highlights
This year (2024), the Taiwan Smart Agriculture Week and Taiwan International Fisheries Industry Exhibition received strong support from government agencies, attracting buyers from over 40 countries and 20 overseas industry associations. The event brought together more than 18,188 professional attendees and facilitated over 2,000 business meetings, generating an impressive USD 82 million in procurement opportunities. With 690 booths and 400 exhibitors from 20 countries, the exhibition showcased a wide range of smart agricultural equipment, IoT applications, precision animal nutrition, aquaculture technology, environmental monitoring systems, and more, highlighting Taiwan's competitiveness and innovation in agriculture, aquaculture, and livestock industries.
Smart Technology Leading Agricultural and Aquaculture Innovation
This year’s exhibition featured multiple themed pavilions, presenting the latest applications of smart technology in agriculture, aquaculture, and livestock industries. The Smart Agriculture Pavilion focused on IoT, cloud management, and field integration services, offering innovative agricultural solutions. The Smart Machinery Pavilion and Electric Machinery Pavilion showcased energy-efficient and carbon-reducing intelligent machinery, which enhances production efficiency and lowers labor costs. The Feed Innovation Pavilion introduced advanced feed technology for both economic and companion animals, maximizing nutritional value and reshaping the future of livestock management. The Fresh Cold Chain Pavilion covered end-to-end cold chain services for agricultural products, ensuring food safety. Additionally, the Changhua Smart Agriculture Pavilion, led by Changhua County, demonstrated local advancements in smart agriculture and sustainable aquaculture, promoting ESG initiatives and environmental sustainability.
High-Level Forums and International Exchange
The event hosted over 180 high-level forums and specialized seminars, addressing key topics in agriculture, aquaculture, and livestock. Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the 2024 International Smart Agriculture Seminar focused on “Fostering New Perspectives, Exploring New Opportunities, and Creating New Blue Oceans,” with experts from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and other regions exploring how smart technology can meet the challenges of modern agriculture and expand into international markets. The 5th Aquaculture Forum, hosted by National Taiwan Ocean University, delved into carbon reduction practices and success stories in aquaculture, emphasizing strategies for sustainability. These sessions provided invaluable knowledge and fostered new collaborative opportunities among participants.
Business Matchmaking Facilitates Global Collaboration
The dedicated business matchmaking area played a pivotal role in fostering international cooperation, resulting in over 2,000 one-on-one business meetings during the event. Numerous cooperation agreements were signed, generating USD 82 million in procurement opportunities. Many exhibitors reported finding ideal partners and successfully expanding into new international markets through these networking activities.
